Shane Sigsbee is the founder of Imawhale PM. After graduating in 2007 with a finance degree from the University of Notre Dame, he moved to Chicago to work as an equity derivatives trader on the Chicago Board Options Exchange.
In 2009, Sigsbee founded Imawhale Staking Group, where he built one of the industry's most successful poker staking operations — financially backing professional players and managing risk across large portfolios of talent.
In 2014, he launched Imawhale Sports, applying the same quantitative approach to sports wagering. Over the next decade, Sigsbee developed proprietary models, execution systems, and the operational infrastructure to deploy capital at scale across markets.
In 2025, Sigsbee founded Imawhale PM to bring that institutional rigor to prediction markets — providing deep, two-sided liquidity across sports, economics, and global events on exchanges including Kalshi, Polymarket US, and Crypto.com US. Under his leadership, the firm has crossed $500 million in lifetime trading volume and quotes over 500 markets daily.
